2nd Annual Community-Based Doula Day at the Georgia State Capitol on March 31, 2026.
Georgia’s doulas, families, and birth workers are coming together at the State Capitol for a day of advocacy, visibility, and collective action to advance maternal health equity across our state.
Recently, we’ve seen troubling situations in hospitals across Georgia where birthing people and doulas have been treated unjustly or denied respectful, supportive care. These moments underscore the critical role of community-based doulas—and the continued need to advocate for systems that respect, protect, and support families.
Community-Based Doula Day at the Capitol is a call for visibility, accountability, and change.
Together, we will:
• Uplift the role of community-based doulas
• Advocate for equitable maternal health policy
• Call for fair compensation and sustainable support for doula care
• Center the voices and experiences of Georgia families
