Tameka Mitchell serves as President of the Postpartum Support International–Georgia Chapter (PSI-GA), leading with a steadfast commitment to the organization’s mission to increase awareness, education, prevention, and treatment of perinatal mental health conditions across all areas of Georgia. Guided by the belief that "Together We Thrive," Tameka champions a collaborative, community-centered approach to ensure individuals and their families have access to the support, education, providers, and resources needed to thrive, with particular attention to underserved communities.

A motivator, entrepreneur, author, and devoted mother, Tameka brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her advocacy. Her personal journey through motherhood deepened her passion for maternal mental health, particularly Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs). As a trusted speaker and community advocate, she works to normalize conversations around perinatal mental health, reduce stigma, and create safe spaces where individuals feel seen, supported, and empowered to seek care.

Education and partnership are central to Tameka’s leadership. She is dedicated to amplifying evidence-based resources from national and global organizations, fostering cross-sector collaboration, and equipping communities with knowledge that leads to early identification, timely support, and healing. Through advocacy, training, and increased awareness, Tameka advances PSI-GA’s mission and vision.
