Marie Boone-Clark

Marie Boone-Clark is the visionary cofounder and Executive Director of Birthing the Magic
Collaborative (BTM), a deeply respected strategic consultant, and a certified parental leave
coach. With decades of experience collaborating with hospital systems, professional
associations, clinicians, and nonprofit leaders, she brings a rare blend of strategic insight and
deep community connection to her work.

For Marie, this mission is deeply personal. As a mom to Grace and a bonus mom to Kimberly,
she has always approached parenthood with dedication. But it was her role as Nana to two sets of
twins and a beloved grandson that sparked a new level of clarity. When her own daughter faced a
high-risk pregnancy, Marie knew firsthand what was at stake.

Drawing on her professional background and trusted relationships, she assembled a dedicated
care team that provided respectful, culturally aligned support for Grace and her family. That
season crystallized what becomes possible when Black families are met with care instead of
barriers—and what is tragically lost when they are not.

Through BTM, Marie works to ensure Black birthing people have access to the same timely
knowledge, practical tools, and advocacy support her own family received. Her work is rooted in
a simple, non-negotiable belief: Black motherhood is a birthright, not a battle.

Marie’s dedication to maternal and child health extends across several influential community
platforms. She serves on the task force for Hope for Georgia Moms and is also the cofounder of
Building Beautiful Babies (buildingbeautifulbabies.com), a community initiative designed to
equip expectant and new parents with vital education, compassionate perinatal support, and
resources to build healthy, thriving families from the start.
Additionally, as the founder of Avec Parents (avecparents.com) and a certified parental leave
coach, Marie partners with expecting parents, returning professionals, and forward-thinking
organizations to navigate the complex emotional, personal, and career transitions surrounding
parental leave—empowering parents to prepare, take leave, and re-enter the workplace with
confidence.

Beyond her maternal health leadership, Marie consults with small businesses and nonprofit
leaders, supporting strategic growth, organizational development, and 501(c)(3) formation.
