Joanna Jackson

Connect the Dots

Joanna Jackson is a dedicated maternal health advocate, proud mother of three young adult daughters, and loving grandmother. As a Community-Based Doula, Patient Perinatal Navigator, and Maternal Mental Health Peer Specialist, she brings compassion and lived experience to her work supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and beyond.

Joanna is the Founder of Connect The Dots and The Guardian Parent Support Services, and she also serves as a Community Organizer for Women Organizing for Maternal Health and Birth Justice (W.O.M.B). Through her advocacy and organizing, Joanna empowers families to access resources, elevate their voices, and drive meaningful change in maternal and child health systems.

She strongly believes that a parent is a child’s first advocate and works tirelessly to ensure that every parent and child is seen, heard, and supported.

A fun fact about Joanna: she’s a Cancer, a true nurturer who loves plants and animals, a reflection of her caring and grounded nature both personally and professionally.
