At the HOPE for Georgia Moms annual retreat, maternal health leaders, partners, advocates and people with lived experience came together to connect, listen and plan for the future of maternal health in Georgia.
A particularly powerful part of the retreat was our Persons With Lived Experience panel. These women bravely shared personal stories of pregnancy, birth, loss, grief and the times when they needed more support.
Their voices reminded us that improving maternal health begins with listening to mothers and families. Their experiences help guide our work and strengthen our commitment to creating better systems of care and support before, during and after pregnancy.
Thank you to each panelist who shared her story, everyone who helped create a safe space for these conversations, and all who attended and participated in the retreat. We are grateful for your honesty, compassion and continued commitment to Georgia’s mothers and families.
